I have been shocked at the rate of arrests in America, for crimes against Children. While being shocked I examine Legal Text, and found unbelievable cases, for convictions. (1) someone Waves at a Child and now has to register for life as a Sex Offender, Why ? (2) Someone touched the hair of a Child, ( patting a Kid on the Head is a Crime) and is now a Registered Sex Offender. Behavior which would normally be deemed as innocent is being interpretted and rationalized as criminal, Why ? I see and have had Sexual Abuse done to Me as a Child and it was a Woman, a Family Member, but when We as American's rationalize, and scrutinize only one Group (Men) it is infact practicing "Discrimination", Why ? Men, may in all reality be the vicious creatures this one Group, of Persecutor's wish to portray us, but why, ?. are the officials not allowing us all to "Know", and "Understand" what is to be accepted, and what will not.

Good point. The system is messed up. People are too reactionary, it's almost like a witch hunt these days, while people with real problems aren't getting the attention or help they deserve.

Don't touch another person's kid if you're a guy. That's just asking for trouble. Is it right? Can we reverse it? No, not until we bite off the hand of some woman who pets the head of our kid. Then we'll have some people scratching their heads.

I find it hard to believe that those instances you listed exist

1. waving. 2. patting the head.

You would have to list the court docket, Case number and appellants and judgement of the supreme court so we can crossreference it and say "oh yes, that was not fair"

I doubt that frivolous cases can even get past the police station, much less get to the court system.

It's just like anything else. We have put too much confidence in punishment. And, in the case of sex offenders, that punishment goes beyond jail to the sex registry. We don't act as though we believe in rehabilitation. So, prisoners don't get rehailitation in prison or anywhere else.

Regarding your point about the overreaction and the fact males get the brunt of it, it shouldn't surprise us. Law enforcement is trendy. We tell the cops and prosecutors to go after male offenders, manipulate the system so that even innocent people end up in jail, and decree mandatory minimum sentences to preclude people with the facts from making decisions about punishment.

This is also the ham-handed approach we use with substance abuse. In fact, there is a whole industry -- prison guards, prosecutors, bail bondsmen, public defenders, etc -- who are dependent upon people with frug problems to provide a living.
