My niece needs help for her oily hair?

My niece is 19 and since she was a kid she has this bad oily hair she can wash and dry it and it will still look oily. I have suggested alot of things but nothing seems to work. Anyone have any good tips I can tell her about?

Maybe she washes her hair with silicone shampoos and conditioners? Tell her to read the ingredient lables, and if it has silicon in it, she needs to get rid of it. She should try a clarifying shampoo (Pantene makes a really good cheap one) or for a bit more money she can buy Bumble and Bumble's Sunday shampoo (it's worth the extra money because it'll get her hair really soft and silky without the grease factor).

Use a clarifying shampoo every other day...if you wash it too much the oil glands will try to over compensate. Use only conditioner on the tips of the hair not near the scalp. Stay away from shampoos like pantene that coat the hair, that will only cause built up.

Well if she is interested in change see if she will color/dye her hair. The dye dries out the hair and it doesn't produce as much oil. Also don't condition as much if you have oily hair.
