My younger freshman sister???

My sisters been havong problems in high school, she's a freshman, i'm a junior!! All I do is see her most the time by herself she says she has no friends and is always sitting with me %26amp; my friends at lunch. I try to be nice to her but she has the WORST attitude about 90% of the time. Me %26amp; my sister-in-law helped her this past summer before starting high school to dress more girly instead of gothic and adding color to her hair!! but she still asn't getting along with people. When I talk to kids in her class they say shes rude most the time!! I'm worried about her she doesn't do homework, get bad grades, I just don't know what I can do...My parents think shes fine but I think she might be depressed or something PLEASE HELP!!!!

Wow! How sad. And how great she has a big sister who cares! Don't give up on her. Don't let her drag you down with her, but don't give up on her.

Just get everyone involved. Start with the school counselor. If that doesn't work out, talk with the school principal. If that doesn't get her any help, call her pediatrician (her current doctor, pediatrician or not). All physician's will work with you regarding ability to pay and most have policies in place to talk with adolescents anonymously. She's family. She's people. She's in trouble whether she knows it or not. Or better said, she's at risk whether she knows it or not. Show her the love. And when she makes it tough to show her the love, show her the love. Again, don't let her drag you down, but don't give up on her.

Start at home and see how the whole family treats her? Maybe she just needs some attention and approval from others?

Does she have any hobbies or interest? Maybe she needs to join a club at school to give her something to do. Why does your family think she is fine? It is obvious she has some issues dealing with people. Is there a family member she feels comfortable talking too? You sound like a great sister and a awesome teen keep up the good work.
