I like athletic dogs, that are good with kids, like being outdoors or indoors, will not leave a lot of hair everywhere, and is very obedient.

you only get obedient if you are willing to put in the time and effort to train the dog. there are no push button dogs out there unless you get one of the little mechanical dogs. that might be it,it would be good with kids,doesn't shed and is obedient.

if you want a real dog you need to find a breed that fits your life style and research the breed/breeds fully. you know better what will fit in with your family. go to the site below and look at the breeds and descriptions or go to a shelter or more than one and look at what they have and save a dogs life.

go to your local humane society and look for one there.. I bet you can find just what you're looking for. The volunteers there are happy to help you find your perfect match.. They are already spayed/neutered, they are up to date on their shots, the volunteers can tell you about their personality, temperments and if they are trained. You can save a life and gain a lifetime companion!!

LABRADOODLE!!! the lab in them make them incredibly sweet and the poodle make them hypo-allergenic. also very obediant. check 'em out in the local paper or online

they're WONDERFUL with children, and are very athletic, high energy dogs, and are wonderful companions.

the only thing that labs do not fit in your requirements is the shedding, they do shed a lot, but honestly it's not that bad if you vaccumm regularly and use lint rollers.

also, you can teach your dog not to get on the furniture (they're very intelligent.)

i'm sure you'll find one at a shelter.

(they can come in 3 colors, yellow, chocolate, or black, so don't think they're different breeds if you didn't know.)

I have a Miniature Schnauzer and she is great %26amp; smart. I had a male previously and he adored kids and he was really smart. They don't shed much either. They are definitely athletic dogs. Good luck in your puppy search.

Well i have loved dogs my whole life and know a lot about them.

there are golden retrievers(i have 1), they're great dogs except they shed alot. great danes dont shed much, but i dont know about the kid part, you would have to buy a great dane pup so that the puppy could get used to the kids. you could also get a bulldog but again you'd prolly have to get a pup 'cuz of the kids.
