I would like to drop out of school,i'm a junior and i already have a job waiting for me (CNA),

I don't know what to do, everyone thinks I have a great life and I should. I'm not being teased, i have friends, and i'm popular. I just don't feel like anybody gets me. A lot of people tell me i'm 16 going on 30 and i hate that. The friends i have are always staying I need to loosen up but I don't know how. I think some of the kids in my school are so inmature, all they worry about is their hair, cars, make-up, it's so stupid. I have 3 jobs and I want to be a CNA, I already have a job waiting for me when I graduate, so I just don't see the point in waiting for graduation. I really need some help so if anyone can help please write back.

I know where you are coming from. Yes you have a job now, but you never know what can happen to it. My advice is if you are educational wise enough to pass the GED test then go ahead, but only if you are planning on taking it ASAP. Dont say I will take it and never do. It sounds as if you are a responsible person. Let me tell you CNA is not the best job in the world to build a life off of. Get your GED keep your job and start college. I know in Missouri you only have to be out of school for 6 months then you can take your test. Then you should be able to start college next summer semester.... I quit school when I was 16 for the same reason got my ged at 17 but I did not go to college until I was 30 (teacher) cuz I couldnt afford to live on my own and go. Stay home keep working get ged and go to coll asap.

Just because you have a job waiting for you now doesn't mean you'll have a job waiting for you in five years. Without a high school diploma you can't expect to get much attention from anyone, especially not colleges. Work experience is great, but being educated in a field that can help you even when you lose your job is even better. Unless you're able to graduate early, just stay in school.

please please stay in school - I was the same way %26amp; left before I finished high school, I got a job %26amp; did ok BUT that was 15 years ago %26amp; I am now limited to my chosen profession %26amp; can't look into other careers as I don't have a degree. I don't want to go back to college at 33 full time nor give up a load of evenings so I'm kinda stuck with my decision.

I wouldn't even consider not getting a degree these days - plus remember when you go to college you will meet a much wider variety of people than are in your school now ....
